Where does Kava Nectar™ come from?
Kava Nectar™ is exclusively and ethically sourced from family farms in Vanuatu. The organic kava roots are dried and prepared with a proprietary process to create dehydrated kava juice (instant kava).
Is it supposed to make my tongue tingle?
Absolutely, yes! The tingling sensation you might experience on your tongue and mouth after consuming kava is a characteristic effect of the kavalactones present in the drink. This numbing sensation is often considered an indicator of the kava's potency and authenticity.
Much like how some spices can evoke warmth or a cooling sensation, kava has its unique signature feeling, and that's the gentle numbing of the mouth and tongue.
For many kavalogists, this tingling sensation is part of the initial experience and is often anticipated and enjoyed as the first sign that the kava is beginning to work its magic.
So, if your tongue tingles after a sip or two of Kava Nectar™, don't be alarmed - that's how you know it's good kava.
Why don't I feel anything?
If you're new to kava and don't immediately feel its effects, don't be discouraged! Kava has a unique characteristic known as "reverse tolerance."
Unlike other substances where tolerance builds up over time and you require more to achieve the same effects, kava tends to work in the opposite way.
Reverse tolerance means that people new to kava might need more kava initially to feel its effects. However, as you continue to enjoy kava over time, this tolerance diminishes, and you may find that you need less kava to achieve the same, or even enhanced, effects.
So, if you didn't feel anything the first few times, try 2-3 cups and don't be discouraged! Over time, as you enjoy kava and its active compounds (kavalactones), you'll likely start to notice its calming and relaxing effects more prominently!
