My boyfriend and I wanted to try a healthier alternative to alcohol. We tried the kava with water... big mistake. I was told it was earthy but we didn't think it'd be THAT earthy. The kava did make us feel relaxed but not enough to really feel a difference. We are determined to try it again though. I've heard coconut water and other kava recipes are worth giving a try... will be back with a second review once we give those kava recipes a shot!

So, I tried this kava nectar last week and at first, it didn't really do much for me. I was a little disappointed, I thought I would automatically feel something (like marijuana). But I stuck with it, built my tolerance, and now I gotta say, it's pretty amazing! When I have a few sips, I feel this incredible sense of contentment and a calm stillness washes over me.
